Well we’ve finally got that new cocktail menu launched. Overall it’s been a massive success, I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know.

The favourites so far seem to be Strawberry Fields (Pink Gin is the big thing at the moment), Pornstar Martini and a classic Daquiri. I’m not going to list them all but we have 19 of them now and I’d say they were all pretty nice. Monday to Thursday most are 2 for 1, or 2 for £10 so it’s good deal. They should be all listed on the website very soon.

We’ve had a few training sessions to get the staff ready for the cocktail launch – which unsurprisingly ended up with most of us in Lago at 3am a couple of times – but nevertheless they were successful sessions. They at least went better than last year’s wine training when one of the staff ended up asleep in the disabled toilet and we had to get someone to come and take him home. Yeah, we got told off for that one.

I spent the end of the month breathing a dangerous amount spray paint fumes – but if you’ve spotted all of the new wall art around the place then I’m sure you’ll agree that it was worth it. After seeing the same walls for nearly two years it makes a nice change and we have a few more ideas going up soon.

Overall, I think that’s it. We’re all looking forward to (and probably dreading in equal measure) St Patrick’s Weekend which is always packed out on Mathew St. We’ve got extended music times over the whole weekend so it’s going to be a laugh. McPeppers is coming!

(And yes, I know, we still need to get that Musicians Applications form up online. Bear with us.)
